TUG Reports Training Team

Terms of Reference


Mandate/Scope

The TriUniversity Group of Libraries (TUG) uses the Cognos business intelligence suite to support its functional and statistical reporting requirements. A centralized web-based environment that will provide primary access for most staff who work with statistics and reports is under development.

The TUG Reports Training Team is responsible for developing and delivering a training program and providing ongoing support for TUG Library managers and other staff who use the Cognos Upfront (web), PowerPlay and Impromptu applications to derive statistical information, run reports and create reports. The goal is to enable these managers and staff members to confidently and independently derive required statistical information and run Impromptu reports.

Specific Objectives

Membership

The Training Team will include at least two members from each TUG institution. Members will be selected to ensure representation from a wide range of functional areas. Members will serve for a two to three year renewable period. A Facilitator/Coordinator will be appointed by the Team.
