This cube contains;
The smaller cube transactions.mdc containing transaction related information with no item related information can be used for reports that do not need item related information. The transactions.mdc cube includes counts for renewals.
Note: Because information from the bibliographic record is included in this cube (e.g. Pub Date and Language) the item related counts (item count, pieces, historical charges and browses) will be slightly inflated. This is attributable to "bound with" items which are attached to multiple bibliographic records. If you do not need to include Pub Date or Language in your report you may prefer to use the item related counts from the cataloguing cube.

Charges |
A count of the charge transactions (circulations only - renewals not included) that occur on TRELLIS. |

Item Count |
A count of the number of item records in the TRELLIS database. An item record does not have to have a barcode to be included in the count. Items which have been suppressed from the OPAC are included in the counts but can be filtered out. |
|
|
Pieces |
The piece count as recorded in the item record. Most items have piece counts of "1". The piece count is used for items like microfiche where there is one envelope (item record) containing many fiche (piece count). |

|
Circulation Count |
A count of historical charges from the item record.
|
|
|
Reshelve Count |
A count of historical browses from the item record. A browse is counted when an item is discharged and it had not been charged.
|
|
|
Item Status Count |
A count of item status types on each item record. An item can have multiple item statuses associated with it. It is important to remember that the status changes frequently and the counts in the cube are only accurate for the time period that the cube was built. No historical status information is included in these counts. |
