Cube Description:

This cube contains UW circulation activity counts and exit and entrance counts for the UW Libraries as recorded from the electronic counters and turnstyles at the library entrances and exits, . Source data for exit and entrance counts is maintained in the excel file turnstyle.xls found in R:\UW Statistics and Reports\Departmental Statistics\User Services. Source data for the activity counts (binding, microforms, newspapers, storage/annex, manual charges and distance education requests) is maintained in the excel file circmain.xls found in R:\UW Statistics and Reports\Departmental Statistics\User Services.

Activity Count

Various activity type counts. See the dimensions for "Activity Type" and "Subtype"

Entrance Count

A total of the entrance counts recorded from the electronic counters and turnstyles in each library

Exit Count

A total of the exit counts recorded from the electronic counters and turnstyles in each library

Exit Via Entrance

A total of the number of exits through the entrance electronic counters

Exit Total

The addition of "Exit Count" and "Exit Via Entrance" count

Alarms

A count of the number of alarms set off by security system (UMD)
