of Agenda
The agenda was approved as circulated with the addition of item I, “Next meeting.”
C.
Presentation of UW desk stats database (Jonathan Sutherland)
The database was created as a resource to evaluate reference interactions. It is an access database. It does not include location questions. Questions are categorized as: simple, complex, referrals and electronic, directional, computer problems and tech support.
D. Verdi has stopped development on Acquisition data moving to ERM (Electronic Resource Management). The line item level is not meaningful. The order level is not captured in Verdi. Each TUG library has had to develop their own in-house reports to export data from Verdi. It was mentioned that OCUL be approached for funding for a tech position as there is no funding for counter compliancy stats for Scholars Portal at this time. Action: Since Verdi is an OCUL initiative and since Ron is the point person for OCUL SFX, he will initiate discussions at the appropriate levels. Also, Carol will bring the Verdi issue to a TUG IR meeting.
E.
Business Arising and Announcements
Approximately 20 interviews were conducted to get a sense of data needs. Cognos 8 interfaces will be developed. There will be report developers and user licenses. The end result will be a datamart that will include data from all kinds of sources and programs. Bill Halahan is very much involved in the Cognos 8 development at UG. Gail and now Don will also have the opportunity to continue or be trained in the Cognos 8 development area pending a Cognos license review to include UW and WLU.
F.
UW/TUG test and production servers migration update (Gail)
Nothing negative came out of the testing in November.
