Report Description:

This report was developed in response to problems associated with inflated fines being assessed on overdue Hourly and Minute loan items that occurred with the installation of the Voyager 7 Circulation upgrade (December 2009).  Fine Rates were changed to zero in the Circulation Policy Matrixes in order to prevent unwarranted Patron Blocks. This report identifies Hourly and Minute Loan Interval items that were discharged overdue past the original charge due date or past the last renewal due date and an overdue fine was not assessed on the patron record.  The report cannot capture items that were overdue when renewed (a renewal transaction occurred past the due date, not a discharge transaction).

Important Notes:  This report can be scheduled.  The discharge date range for scheduled reports is December 14, 2009 to the current date that the report is run.  Calculations for the correct overdue fine amount cannot be included in this report as the Fine Rates have been changed to zero as noted in the report description.  The correct fine amount needs to be manually assessed on the Patron account according to the total minutes overdue and the established fine rate.
