Report Description:

This report is run to identify discharge backdate errors that may have occurred and resulted in overdue fines being applied to the patron record e.g. book return staff inform supervisor they neglected to backdate.

Prompt	Type	Description
Enter the discharge Operator id	Type in	The operator id (login name) of the staff member conducting the discharge.
Enter the beginning fine create date	Type in	The start “real” date that the items were discharged, not the backdate date.
Enter the end fine create date	Type in	The end “real” date that the items were discharged, not the backdate date.

Filters:

• The fine/fee operator id (discharge operator id) is equal to the operator id entered in the prompt
• The date the fee was created is within the date range entered in the beginning and end fine create date prompts

Sort Order:

• Fine Fee Create Date/Time

• Fine Fee Create Date/Time
• Fine Fee Amount Assessed
• Operator Id
• Due Date/Time
• Discharge Date/Time
• Patron Institution Id
• Patron Name
• Item Barcode

Important Notes: Compare the Fine Create Date/Time to the Discharge Date/Time in order to determine if a fine was incorrectly assessed. The Fine Create Date/Time reflects the “real” date/time the item was discharged. The Discharge Date/Time reflects the backdated discharge Date/Time.
