The Effect of Collaboration
Already there can be seen advantages to the collaboration. The staffs of the three institutions are working together creatively. Learning is occurring at several levels. The synergy is real. Expectations are high. Staff are looking forward to a time when the system is up and running. It is then that we can begin to think of the collections as part of “one library.” Then we expect to make even greater progress with collection rationalisation. Then we can investigate other innovative ways to enhance and improve services to the teachers, learners, and researchers of the Tri-University Group of Libraries.
